HS Baseball: Lincoln Downs Limestone

Wyatt Mammen stuck out ten and led Lincoln to a 4-1 win over Limestone Wednesday from Bartonville in non-conference high school baseball action.

In likely his final tuneup before Regional play next week, the Lincoln senior was lights out as he allowed only an unearned run and zero hits with four walks. He threw 54 of 103 pitches for strikes.

Griffin Shaw drove in two for the Railsplitters. Colby Glenn, Michael Lucas, Branden Wurth, and Trey Schilling had hits as well but Lincoln did not record an extra base hit.

A quick three-run first inning put the Railsplitters up early and Mammen held that lead all the way to the seventh.

Glenn closed out the victory for Lincoln with a scoreless inning of relief and recorded one strikeout.

The Railsplitters improve to 22-9 overall. They are at Springfield Southeast this afternoon.
