In a game heard on WHOW and all its digital platforms, Brock Wilson went the distance and led Clinton to a 1-0 win over Tri-Valley Thursday afternoon in Class 2A Regional semifinal play from the Monticello Regional.
The game was delayed 40 minutes as heavy rain moved through the area. Peaks of sunshine were seen during the rest of the afternoon.
Wilson struck out five, walked two, and permitted four hits in the shutout effort.
Josh Bass drove in the lone Maroons run. Jaxson Reynolds was 2-for-3 for Clinton while Wilson, Mason Walker, and Colton Walker had hits.
With the win Thursday, the Maroons go to 22-8 overall. They will take on Monticello for the Regional Championship on Saturday at 11 am at Monticello High School.
