Normal West topped Rochester 4-2 in non-conference high school baseball action Saturday.

Sam DesCarpentrie was 1-for-3 with two RBIs for the Wildcats. Blake Crancer was 2-for-3 with two runs scored while Alex Olsen and Bradyn Whitehead had RBIs for Normal.

Chase Reinhart fired 4 1/3 innings of one-run ball. The freshman was struck out four, walked two and permitted three hits.

Normal West reached the 20-win threshold improving to 20-14 overall. It's off to regional play for the Wildcats. They stay in Normal taking on Rock Island at the Normal Community Regional Thursday at 4:30 pm.
