The Clinton Maroons had little difficulty dispatching East Alton-Wood River in a 57-0 route in week 1 of the high school football season.
Coming into the season, the big question for Clinton was at the quarterback position. Coach Ron Bass liked both of his options and says in week 1, you saw what junior Keaton Graves could offer leading the offense.
The Maroons dominated at the point of attack and Coach Bass says the quickness of his defensive line was clearly a tough assignment. He notes week 1 can be such a wild card so it was good to see his team play well against an experienced group.
The Maroons travel to Alton Marquette this week. Kickoff time is 7 pm. Hear it on WHOW and all our digital platforms.
