Last week, The Clinton Maroons showed up and showed out in a blow out victory against East Alton Wood River at home.
They lead the game 40-0 at half time against a team that went 0-9 in the 23-24 season. They were able to put up another 17 points with a running clock in the second half to finish the game 57-0 and begin the season with a record of 1-0.
Quarterback Keaton Graves and Wide Receiver Colton Walker were two stand-out players, leading the offense to victory. Kristian Hibbard also had quite the night on the defensive line, causing stop after stop and forcing multiple sacks.
This week, the Maroons travel to Alton to take on Marquette Catholic High School, who went 1-8 in the 23-24 season. Last week, they fell to Civic Memorial High School 43-2, only scoring on a safety.
