Illinois made quite an impression nationally on Saturday. Following a 23-17 win over No. 19 Kansas in front of a sold-out crowd at Memorial Stadium, Illinois finished just one spot outside of the AP Top 25 just behind No. 25 Northern Illinois, which upset Notre Dame in South Bend on Saturday.
Illinois received 101 points from AP voters, putting them just behind No. 24 Boston College (116 points) and No. 25 Northern Illinois (114 points).
