Unlike anything he's ever seen is how Clinton High School football coach Ron Bass describes a shocking trend by his defense through the first third of the high school football season.

The Maroons have a dozen takeaways through the air on defense and Coach Bass says it is unlike anything he's ever seen.

The Maroons anticipate a step up in competition this week when they travel to Lexington to take on Ridgeview-Lexington. Coach Bass knows the Mustangs will have a lot of kids hungry to make good on a subpar year last year.

Ridgeview-Lexington enters play at 1-2.
