Eastern Illinois looks to rebound from an 0-2 start to Big South OVC play when the Panthers hit the road for the first time during the conference slate on Saturday at Tennessee State.  

EIU fell to 1-5 overall, 0-2 in the Big South OVC following a home loss to No. 13 Southeast Missouri.

NiJhay Burt picked off a pass in the fourth quarter and returned it 27 yards on Saturday against Southeast Missouri for what proved to be the games only turnover.  

MJ Flowers rushed for 48 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries on Saturday against Southeast Missouri.  Flowers also ended the day as the Panthers top receiver as he caught 11 passes for another 72 yards.  

Cooper Willman hauled in a 12-yard touchdown pass for the Panthers first score of the game on Saturday against Southeast Missouri.  Willman finished with four catches for 70 yards. 

Tennessee State is 4-2 overall, 2-1 in the Big South OVC.  The Tigers have come-from-behind in each of their last two games to pick up wins over Charleston Southern and Lindenwood.
