HS FBall: Clinton Visits El Paso-Gridley Facing Must-Win Situation

The Clinton Maroons will travel to El Paso-Gridley tonight in a situation where they need a win to qualify for the postseason.

Last Week, the Maroons suffered their 4th straight loss falling to Deer Creek-Mackinaw 38-20. Head Coach Ron Bass let his team decide how they wanted to be coached this week in practice.

This week, the Maroons will travel to El Paso-Gridley who are on a 3-game win streak. Coach Bass says shifting the momentum will be all on the kids.

The Maroons are still suffering from the injuries of Anthony Westbrooks and Dawson Thayer, this week Center John Smock will be stepping away from the defensive line with a rib injury, and sophomore Micah Wheeler will be stepping into his spot on the defensive line.

The Maroons will look to upset the 5-3 Titans with their season on the line at 7 PM. Tune into WHOW and all our digital platforms to hear the action.
