After a solid win in the opening round of the high school football playoffs, Monticello visits Williamsville for second Class 3A playoff action.

Like the Sages, the Bullets rolled in its first-round playoff game. Coach Cully Welter says Williamsville is always very tough and this year is no exception.

Williamsville suffered an early season defeat to Byron, one of the heavy favorites in Class 3A. Since then, the Bullets have gone away from their traditional spread offense.

For the Sages, Coach Welter says they need to be disciplined on defense. Offensively, Monticello is hoping to stretch the defense with its passing game.
