In a game heard on WEZC and online at dewittdailynews.com, Ike Young accounted for over 475 yards of total offense and all six touchdowns, Carter Foran broke the Monticello single-season receiving record with 241 yards and three touchdowns as the Sages rolled Williamsville 42-14 in second round Class 3A high school football action Saturday in Williamsville.
The Young and Foran connection started early as Young hit Foran on a 63-yard touchdown on Monticello's first possession.
The Bullets answered to tie the game at 7-7 but it was all Sages after that.
An 80-yard completion to Foran set up Young's only rushing touchdown of the game from six yards out.
The pair would connect two more times after Young connected with Nolan Buehnerkemper for a 55-yard touchdown pass to put the Sages up 21-7 in the second quarter.
Monticello took a 28-7 lead into the half after Young connected with Foran on a reverse option-screen trick play for 22 yards.
Then in the third quarter, Foran raced 49 yards on a dump-off pass to put Monticello in control 35-7.
Young would find Beuhnerkemper one more time for the final score from 5 yards out for a 42-7.
Young was 14-of-19 passing for 358 yards and five touchdowns. He also had 18 rushes for 120 yards and a touchdown.
Foran hauled in nine passes for 241 yards and three scores. His receiving day broke Monticello's single-season receiving record.
Buehnerkemper also had five catches for 117 yards and two touchdowns.
Williamsville was led by Brandon Cates who had 16 carries for 103 yards. Jackson Sanders was 8-of-13 passing for 140 yards with two touchdowns. Matthew Miller had two receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown while Gage Paul had two catches for 18 yards and a touchdown reception.
Williamsville ends its season at 9-2 overall.
