Lady Maroons Topple Olympia To Start the Season

As heard on WHOW, the Clinton Maroons defeated the Olympia Spartans by a score of 58-28. The Lady Maroons were led by Senior Clara Dempsey who had 11 points. Regan Filkin had 9 points and Avery Smith had 11 points. Lilah Cluver and Carly Anderson scored both 12 points. Cluver and Filkin both shot 50% from the free-throw line. 

 

The Lady Spartans were led by Elyse Eimer who scored half of Olympia's total points, achieving 14, 6 of them being from beyond the 3-point line. 

 

Clinton improves to 1-0 while Olympia falls to 0-1. The Lady Maroons will take on Eisenhower on Wednesday in their next Turkey Tussle Tournament matchup at 8 PM.

Lilah Cluver was our Servpro of Piatt/DeWitt counties player of the game, for her impressive performance in limited minutes.
