Eastern Illinois wraps up the 2024 regular season on Saturday with a Noon kickoff at Tennessee Tech. The Panthers improved to 3-8 overall, 2-5 in the Big South OVC with a 16-13 overtime win against Charleston Southern to send its 27 seniors out with a win during their final home game at O'Brien Field.
Julian Patino knocked home an 18-yard field goal on Eastern Illinois first overtime possession after the Panthers defense held on a fourth down play by Charleston Southern handing the Panthers a 16-13 victory.
Tennessee Tech enters the final regular season game as the hottest team in the conference having won four straight including a win at nationally ranked UT Martin to capture this year's Sgt. York trophy. With a win and some help in other games, the Golden Eagles could finish as co-champions of the Big South OVC and earn the league's automatic FCS playoff bid.
Game time is noon on Saturday. Hear all the action, starting with an 11:30 am pregame, on WHOW and all its digital platforms.
