HS BBBall: Lane Explodes to Lead Maroa-Forsyth to Third Place Finish at Macon County Tournament

Coby Lane showed up to school 90 minutes early to shoot and then came in 30 minutes before bus time for more shooting. 

 

The extra reps paid off as the junior exploded for 54 points and led Maroa-Forsyth to a 79-63 win over Meridian for a third-place finish at the Macon County Tournament from Central A&M High School Friday night.

 

Lane hit six first-half three-pointers and shot 9-of-14 from the foul line, sinking 8-of-12 in the second half.

 

The Trojans led 36-31 at the break and broke the game open with a 20-10 third quarter advantage to go up 56-41.

 

Brady Doss added 12 points for Maroa-Forsyth. 

 

The Trojans improve to 3-1 overall. They will host Rantoul Tuesday night.
