HS GBBall: Clinton Takes Down Meridian in the 4th

The Clinton Maroons defeated the Meridian Hawks by a final score of 58-47 in high school girls Central Illinois Conference basketball action at Clinton High School on Monday Night.

 

The Maroons were led by the Servpro of Piatt/DeWitt counties player of the game Carly Anderson who scored 20 points, 9 of those being beyond the arc even after a slight finger injury. Clara Dempsey added 13 points while Regan Filkin chipped in with 9. 

 

The Hawks tied the game twice in the 4th quarter, led by Haley Leffler who scored 14 points, 12 being from the 3-point line. Juliea Meisenhelter (MY-ZEN-HELTER) added 12 points. 

 

With the win, the Maroons improved to 8-3.

 

The Lady Maroons will play next on Thursday when they take on Roanoke-Benson on the road. Tip-off is at 7:15 PM.
