A short-handed Maroa-Forsyth squad fell to Rantoul 65-50 Monday night in non-conference high school boy's basketball action Tuesday in Maroa.
Already without Mitch Williams, Ryne Sheppar,d and Kendall Nailor, the Trojans learned they would be without Caebrin Lee for an extended period who broke his wrist during action at the Macon County Tournament last week.
Off of a 52-point performance in the third-place game of the Macon County tournament last Friday night, Coby Lane followed up that with 25 points Tuesday to lead all scorers.
Kenny Morris added 12 points for the Trojans, who fall to 3-2 on the season.
DJ Davis led the Eagles with 18 points. Justin Merrill scored 15 points and Jayden Rice added 12 points for Rantoul.
The Eagles go to 4-5 overall. They travel to Springfield Higon h Thursday night.
The Trojans visit Warrensburg-Latham Friday night.
