Clinton started slow and could not come back as the Lady Maroons fell 47-40 to GMCS in high school girl's basketball action from the Monticello Holiday Hoopla Friday night.

GCMS led 17-8 after the first quarter and 23-17 at the half and extended its lead to 39-28 after the third quarter. 

Clara Dempsey scored 17 points to lead the Lady Maroons. Reagan Filkin and Carly Anderson added ten points.
