As the University of Illinois Football team heads to Orlando to take on South Carolina in the Citrus Bowl, so does a group from Clinton.
Emily Polen, Head Coach of the Clinton Junior High School Cheer Squad, explains her girls won a spot to perform with a group of high schools from all across the country during halftime of the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.
Although the team has known they are going since June, Polen notes they've only had their music and routine for about a month.
Polen says the girls are looking forward to performing in front of a crowd of around 60,000 people, and for the opportunity to go to Universal Studios and enjoy the nice Florida weather.
Illinois takes on South Carolina in the Citrus Bowl today, kickoff is at 2 PM.
