Monticello shut out Champaign St. Thomas More in the first quarter then pulled way out in front in the second quarter rolling to a 45-15 win Thursday in Illini Prairie Conference high school girl's basketball action in Monticello.
The Lady Sages went up by a touchdown 7-0 after one and pulled out to a 28-6 lead at the half.
Megan Alled led Monticello with 13 points and six rebounds. Ali Weidner added eight points while Pearl Glaze scored six points.
The Lady Sages are 17-10 overall and 5-3 in the Illini Prairie Conference.
They host Tolono Unity on Monday.
Thursday it was announced Monticello is the fourth-seed in its sub-sectional. The Lady Sages are likely headed to either Meridian or Marao-Forsyth for Regional play.
