In a game heard on WHOW and all its digital platforms, the Clinton Lady Maroons fell to the Bloomington Central Catholic Lady Saints by a final score of 69-59 in the semifinal round of the girl's regionals postseason in Bloomington Tuesday night.
The Maroons were led by the Servpro of Piatt/DeWitt Counties Player of the Game Carly Anderson who scored 25 points, nine of those being from beyond the arc. Clara Dempsey added 15 points and was five for six from the free throw line. Avery Smith chipped in with 8.
The Saints were led by Kate Stolfa who scored 16 points. Logan Shanks and Emmy Hurie both chipped in with 12.
With the loss, the Lady Maroons end their season with a record of 25-8. The Lady Saints improve to 23-8 and advance to the championship game on Thursday.
