Mitch Williams scored 15 of his game-high 22 points in the first half and Maroa-Forsyth used a big start to roll past Meridian 65-43 in high school boy's basketball Class 2A Regional quarterfinal action Monday in Maroa.
Williams and Caebrin Lee scored eight first quarter points apiece to propel the Trojans to a 23-7 first quarter lead and a 42-19 halftime advantage thanks to seven more from Williams in the second quarter.
Lee finished with 12 points for the game. Brady Doss added 12 points and Kenny Morris scored eight points.
The Trojans are 14-14 overall. They take on St. Joseph-Ogden from the Meridian Regional Wednesday night at 6 pm.
