Illinois State Drops Sunday Contest at Lindenwood

Illinois State gave up a trio of runs and was unable to come back, falling 4-2 in the series finale at Lindenwood on Sunday at Lou Brock Sports Complex.

 

The Redbirds (2-7) saw both Daniel Pacella and Nolan Barry tally a pair of hits at the plate as Kyle Gibson, Graham Mastros, Eric Machej, and Luke Stulga notched a hit for the Birds.

 

Junior Thomas Harper threw 4.0 innings of relief to keep the score within reach as Ryan Weaver got the start, going 4.0 innings with four hits allowed and one strikeout.

 

Kyle Gibson reached base for the 9th straight game, the longest by a Redbird this year.

 

Illinois State dropped its Friday contest before winning Saturday over the weekend. 

 

Illinois State heads to Oklahoma for a midweek at Oral Roberts on Wednesday.
