A late offensive surge sent Heyworth past Delavan 12-4 in non-conference high school softball action from Delavan Tuesday afternoon. 

The Lady Hornets scored nine runs over the final three frames to put the game away.

Sidney Ditchen's three-run home run in the sixth inning was the big hit of the afternoon. She finished 3-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored. 

Grace Streenz was 3-for-5 with three doubles, two RBIs, and a run scored for Heyworth.

Gabby Dow and Haley Rogers all drove in runs for the Lady Hornets.

Heyworth is 1-1 on the season and hosts Central A&M on Thursday.
