Springfield Southeast scored a run in the bottom of the eighth inning and walked off Argenta-Oreana in comeback fashion Saturday in non-conference high school baseball action from Springfield.
The Bombers jumped ahead 3-0 in the third - highlighted by MJ Hall and Lucas Camfield RBI doubles.
Southeast would take the lead back by getting two runs back in its half of the third and then adding three in the fourth inning to go up 5-3.
Landon Jackson brought the Bombers within 5-4 with a base hit in the fifth inning. Mason Markham doubled in two and Lian Tipsworth doubled in Markham to make it 7-5.
Two runs by the Spartans in the sixth inning tied the score and set the stage for extra innings.
Hall finished 2-for-5 with a double, two RBIs, a stolen base, and two runs scored to lead Argenta-Oreana. Carter Logue was 2-for-5 with an RBI, three stolen bases, and a run scored. Camfield finished 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
The Bombers fall to 2-1. They host Meridian on Tuesday.
