Three Maroa-Forsyth pitchers combined to pitch a two-hit shutout in a 7-0 win over Champaign St. Thomas More in high school baseball action Saturday in Forsyth.
Mitch Williams went 3 1/3 innings of shutout ball. He allowed the only two hits to the Bombers on the afternoon. The senior struck out five and walked none.
Colby Parrot fired 2 2/3 innings of hitless, scoreless relief. He struck out two and walked one. Camden Trendler closed out the win by striking out three in a scoreless inning of relief.
Parrot was 2-for-3 with a double for the Trojans.
Maroa-Forsyth put the game out of reach with a four-run fifth inning. Cayden Rose brought home two with a single. Ace Giles brought in a run on a groundout and Grady Rose singled home a run to make the score 7-0.
Tate Brandenburg finished 2-for-2 with two walks and three runs scored for the Trojans.
Maroa-Forsyth improves to 2-1 overall. They travel to Warrensburg-Latham on Tuesday.
