Addison Roos led a balanced attack and Blue Ridge held off Decatur St. Teresa 9-6 in non-conference high school softball action Tuesday from Farmer City.
The Lady Knights jumped out to 7-0 lead before St. T got on the board with a run in the fourth. The Lady Knights got two of those back to go up 9-1. The Bulldogs scored five unanswered runs to close out the scoring.
Six different players had RBIs for the Lady Knights. Lilli Enger drove in two runfinishing 2-for-4. Roos was 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored.
Mya Laidley was 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Karlee Fenton, Ellie Heyward, and Ellie Schleiper drove in runs for Blue Ridge.
Schleiper allowed six runs, three of which were earned, on ten strikeouts and two walks.
The Lady Knights improved to 2-3 overall. Blue Ridge travels to Iroquois West on Wednesday.
