A six-run sixth inning sent Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin over Lincoln 12-2 in high school baseball action Tuesday in Springfield.
The Cylcones jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning. A passed ball scored Lincoln's first run in the second inning, but SHG stretched its lead to 4-1 in the bottom half of the inning and then added two more in the third inning to lead 6-1.
Austin Lucas' sac fly got Lincoln with 6-2 in the fifth inning.
Drew Hayes led the Railsplitters going 2-for-3. Ashton Corley walked twice and stole to bases for Lincoln.
Lincoln drops to 1-2 on the season. They will travel to Dunlap on Thursday.
