In a game heard on WHOW and all its digital platforms, the Clinton Maroons fell to the Maora-Forsyth Trojans by a final score of 10-0 in five innings of nonconference high school softball action in Forsyth.
The Maroons had no hits or runs in 14 at-bats. The award of Servpro of Piatt/DeWitt Counties Player of the Game was given to centerfielder Ariana Humes, who caught three outs.
Aliviyah Haynes allowed 10 runs on nine hits and walked six. She struck out one.
The Trojans were led by Maggie Ravenscraft, who had three hits, two RBIs, and one run. Kalli Kahler scored two runs, had two hits, and two RBIs. Danni Hovey hit a solo home run.
Danni Hovey pitched five innings and allowed zero hits and zero runs, and walked two batters. She struck out seven.
The Maroons fall to 2-2 on the season, while the Trojans improve to 4-2
The Trojans will next take on Pana on Monday.
The Maroons will host Sullivan on Tuesday.
