Brody Billedo and Carter Foran led Monticello to an 8-2 win over Lincoln in non-conference high school baseball action at Lincoln High School on Monday.

Billedo fired three shutout innings. The senior southpaw struck out five, walked one, and permitted two hits.

Foran followed with four innings of two-run relief. One run was earned. The senior struck out six and allowed four hits and zero walks.

Colton Vance led the Sages, going 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Brian Wiltgen was 3-for-4 with a run scored. 

Foran was 2-for-4 with a walk and run scored at the top of the order for Monticello. Ike Young was 1-for-2 with a triple, a run driven in, two runs scored, and two walks. Hayden Romano was 2-for-4, and Cole Basak was 1-for-4 with a triple. 

Austin Lucas led Lincoln, going 3-for-4 with a stolen base. Drew Hayes recorded the only RBI of the afternoon for the Railsplitters. Ashton Corley also finished 2-for-4 with a run scored. 

Lincoln falls to 2-5 overall. They will host Springfield Southeast on Tuesday.

Monticello improves to 8-2 overall. They host Tri-Valley on Tuesday.
