HS Baseball: Lincoln Rallies Past Springfield Southeast

Lincoln strung together back-to-back-to-back RBI singles in a three-run sixth inning and rallied to a 5-3 win over Springfield Lanphier in Central State Eight high school baseball action from Lincoln on Tuesday.

 

Singles by Austin Lucas, Drew Hayes, and Parker Graue drove in runs in the inning to put the Railsplitters up 5-2. 

 

The Spartans got a run back in the top of the seventh but Karson Komnick was able to close the door on the win for Lincoln.

 

Bryce Vlahovich struck out seven in four innings of two-run ball for the Railers. Komnick worked the final three innings with three strikeouts and permitted six hits. 

 

Lucas and Hayes collected two hits apiece. Graue and Komnick had hits for Lincoln. 

 

Lincoln improves to 3-5 overall and 1-0 in CS8 action. They will travel to Jacksonville on Wednesday for more Central State Eight action.
