Cassidee Stoffel twirled a gem and drove in two runs, leading Monticello over Prairie Central 5-1 in Illini Prairie Conference high school softball action on Thursday in Faibrury.
Stoffel allowed a run on five hits in seven innings of one run ball while striking out seven.
She was 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs.
Madison Highland doubled in two runs for Monticello.
Lucy Leatherwood was 3-for-4 with a run scored. Ashley Stiverson finished 2-for-3 with a run scored for the Lady Sages.
Monticello runs its win streak to nine to start the season, going to 9-0 overall and starting 1-0 in the Illini Prairie Conference.
