In a game heard on WHOW and all its digital platforms, the Clinton Maroons defeated the Meridian Hawks by a final score of 10-1 in high school CIC Conference baseball action.
The Maroons were led by Jack Manning, who went 3 for 5 with two runs and an RBI. Josh Bass was 2 for 4 with three RBIs, while Ryan Pine went 2 for 4 and had one RBI.
Cole Fentress went 3 for 4 with two runs scored and was the Servpro of Piatt/DeWitt Counties player of the game.
The Hawks were led by Wyatt Martin, who put up the only run for the game, going 1 for 3.
Brady Stauffer allowed three hits and a run in his 2 and 2/3 innings of relief pitching. He struck out 4 and walked 2.
Grady Stock started the first 4 innings and allowed 7 runs. He walked 3 and struck out 4.
With the win, the Maroons improve to 4-3 while Meridian falls to 0-8.
