Hayli Ferriell finished a pitcher's duel with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning as Tri-City/Sangamon Valley beat Argenta-Oreana 1-0 in a classic high school softball game from Buffalo on Tuesday. 

Lily Woodworth and Elyssa Armstrong were tremendous in circle for each side. Woodworth twirled seven shutout innings with nine strikeouts and permitted four hits for the Lady Tornadoes.

Armstrong allowed just the one run on seven hits with four strikeouts and issued two walks for the Lady Bombers.

Grace Manning, Kharma Giles, Pyper Jones, and Sophia Wicklund had hits for Argenta-Oreana.

The Lady Bombers fall to 2-6 overall. They will have a game on Thursday.
