Carter Clark fired a complete game and led Mt. Pulaski to an 8-2 win in non-conference high school baseball action from Arthur on Tuesday.
Clark allowed two runs on five hits with a walk and six strikeouts.
The Hilltoppers used a steady offense to gradually pull away.
Aaron Volle led the way, going 3-for-4 with an RBI. Chance Payne was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
Clark helped his own cause, finishing 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Eric Cooper doubled and drove in a run.
Mt. Pulaski improves to 4-2 overall. They will travel to Petersburg for a matchup with PORTA-AC Central on Wednesday.
