Bloomington scored five runs in the fifth inning and got by Normal West 7-4 in Big 12 high school baseball action on Wednesday from Bloomington High School.
Sean Jenkins RBI groundout scored Cooper Temples for a 1-0 lead.
The Raiders got two runs in its half of the first inning to go up 2-1.
Normal West responded in the fifth inning on a Chase Knuth three-run home run.
Bloomington got all the momentum back in its half of the fifth with five runs.
Knuth finished 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs, and a run scored for the Wildcats. Temples was 2-for-4 with a run scored, while Drew Hart finished 2-for-4 with an RBI. Ryder Coone was 2-for-3 with a run scored as well.
Normal West drops to 9-4 overall and 3-2 in the Big 12. They will host Bloomington High on Friday.
