Lilly Elston spoiled a valiant Heyworth comeback and had a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning to send Tremont to a 9-8 win in Heart of Illinois high school softball action on Friday afternoon in Tremont. 

The Lady Hornets came back from a 7-1 deficit with five runs in the top of the seventh inning that tied the game at 8-8. 

Gabbie Dow's two-run single brought the Lady Hornets within 8-7 and then Grace Streenz tripled to tie the game.

Dow finished 3-for-4 with a double, four RBIs and a run scored to lead Heyworth. Streenz only hit was her triple to tie the game. Natalie Kopp was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. 

Heyworth falls to 2-6 overall and 0-2 in the Heart of Illinois. They host Argenta-Oreana on Tuesday.
