Normal West avenged a Thursday loss to crosstown rival Bloomington with a 7-1 win in Big 12 Conference high school baseball action on Friday at Normal West.

Chase Reinhart struck out 14 batters across six shutout innings for the Wildcats.

Torin DeLaere hit a solo home run. Cooper Temples was 2-for-3 with a double, triple, and three RBIs. Nolan Schultz and Sean Jenkins each hit double,s and Drew Hart drove in two runs despite going hitless. 

Normal West improves to 10-4 overall and 4-2 in the Big 12 Conference. They will host Dunlap on Saturday.
