Pleasant Plains scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning and outlasted Maroa-Forsyth 10-6 in Sangamo Conference high school softball action on Tuesday in Forsyth.
Plains got two runs in the top of the seventh inning to lead 6-5, but Kali Kahler's two-out RBI triple in the bottom of the seventh tied the game at 6-6.
Adelyn Simmons finished 4-for-5 with two doubles, two triples, and three RBIs to pace Maroa-Forsyth. Taylor Crouch and Karliegh Crutchfield drove in runs for the Lady Trojans.
Maroa-Forsyth is 8-3 overall and 2-1 in the Sangamo Conference. They will host Rantoul on Wednesday.
