A late surge sent Springfield High past Lincoln 11-1 in Central State 8 high school baseball action on Tuesday in Lincoln.
The Senators led 4-1 going to the fourth inning when they scored four runs and then added three more in the fifth to put the game away on a run-rule.
Ashton Corley was 2-for-3 with a double to pace the Railsplitters. Austin Lucas was 1-for-3 with a double and the lone RBI for Lincoln.
The Railers drop to 5-10 overall and 1-5 in the CS8. They will travel to Champaign Central on Thursday.
