Warrensburg-Latham scored ten runs in the first inning and rolled to an easy 13-1, run-rule win over Clinton in Central Illinois Conference high school baseball on Tuesday in Clinton.

The Cardinals slugged five home runs. Dawson Waterhouse, Evan Gottman, Kristopher Lawson, Nick Shelsta, and Trenton Bridges all went deep. 

Waterhouse and Lawson drove in three runs apiece. Gottman drove in two runs for Warrensburg-Latham. 

Colton Walker led Clinton, going 2-for-2 with a stolen base and a walk. Mitchell Cornwell was 1-for-2 with an RBI double, while Josh Bass finished 1-for-3 with a double for the Maroons. 

The Cardinals are 13-1 overall and 4-0 in the CIC.

Clinton drops to 5-6 and 2-1 in the CIC. They will host Mt. Pulaski on Wednesday. Hear the action on WHOW and all its digital platforms.
