Heyworth scored five unanswered runs and rallied to a 5-3 win over Warrensburg-Latham on Thursday in non-conference high school softball action in Warrensburg.

Gabby Dow's two-run single in the sixth inning tied the game at 2-2. Ellasyn Loudenburg's run-scoring single in the seventh inning put Heyworth up 5-2 after Emily Rogers put the Lady Hornets up 3-2 with an RBI single.

Loudenberg paced Heyworth, going 3-for-4. Grace Streenz, Sidney Ditchen, and Rogers had two hits apiece. 

Kelsey Oakley was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for the Lady Cardinals. 

Heyworth improves to 4-7 overall. They will host Meridian on Saturday.
