Avery Schweitzer hit a three-run home run and helped Monticello get by Tolono Unity 4-3 in Illini Prairie Conference high school softball action on Thursday in Monticello. 

Schweitzer's three-run blast to left put Monticello up 3-2. Isa Beery's sac-fly in the third inning proved to be the game winner for Monticello. 

Madison Highland went seven innings for the win for the Lady Sages. She allowed three runs on seven hits with a walk and a strikeout.

Monticello is 14-3 overall and 3-0 in the Illini Prairie Conference. They are off until next Tuesday when they travel to Westville.
