HS Baseball: Maroa-Forsyth Shuts Out Pontiac

Colby Parrot and Tate Brandenburg combined on a three-hit shutout of Pontiac in a 3-0 win in non-conference high school baseball action on Saturday in Pontiac.

 

Trendler worked five innings, allowing just two hits and striking out one with four walks. Brandenburg closed it out with two innings of one-hit ball with three strikeouts and walked tw.

 

Gunnar Larner hit a two-run double to lead the Trojans' offense. Camden Trendler was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Brandenburg was also 2-for-4, and Mitch Williams scored two runs and stole a base.

 

Maroa-Forsyth is 11-4 overall. They host Monticello on Monday.
