Gavin Swartz struck out ten in six innings of one-run ball, leading Normal Community to a 4-1 win in game one of a Saturday high school baseball doubleheader in Normal.

Swartz run allowed was unearned. He walked two and permitted just one hit.

Drew Stevens was 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead Normal Community. Gavin Michaels singled in two and had three stolen bases. Andrew Naour added an RBI sac fly. 

In the second game of the twin bill, the Ironmen committed three errors, allowing Bradley-Bourbonnais to rebound for a 4-3 win. 

Luke Beaty drove in the only run of the game for Normal Community, and Landyn Corbin doubled, finishing 2-for-3.
