Argenta-Oreana outslugged Decatur Unity Christian 19-12 in a Lincoln Prairie Conference high school baseball slugfest Thursday in Argenta.
Argenta-Oreana's offense ignited in the second inning, plating four runs. With the bases loaded, Carter Logue delivered a clutch single, driving in two runners. Moments later, Jaxon Finch followed with an RBI single, and a fourth run crossed the plate on the play.
The offensive onslaught continued in the fourth inning, as the Bombers added five more runs. MJ Hall started the rally with a single, and Landon Jackson followed with a walk. Mason Markham's bunt resulted in an error, allowing Hall to score. Later in the inning, CJ Fisher contributed an RBI single.
The sixth inning saw another five-run explosion for Argenta-Oreana. Lucas Camfield led off with a double and eventually scored on a passed ball. Kharsen West reached base on an error, bringing in another run, and Fisher followed with an RBI single. Bryson Cameron capped off the inning with an RBI double.
Logue went 2-for-5 with a team-high four RBIs, and Fisher contributed 2 hits in 4 at-bats and drove in one run. Camfield also had a strong offensive showing, going 1-for-5 with a double and an RBI.
The Bombers are 9-6 overall and improved to 5-1 in the Lincoln Prairie Conference. They host ALAH on Monday.
