Blue Ridge doubled up Cerro Gordo-Bement 8-4 in Lincoln Prairie Conference high school softball action from Cerro Gordo on Monday.
The Lady Knights broke a 3-3 tie in the sixth inning. Ellie Schleiper drew a walk, followed by a single from Macy Woliung. A sacrifice bunt by Presley Hardesty, coupled with an error by the Cerro Gordo-Bement allowed Schleiper to score. The rally continued with a walk by Carsyn Stiger, followed by three consecutive singles from Addison Roos, Lilli Enger, and Karlee Fenton, each driving in a run and extending Blue Ridge's lead to 8-3.
Roos was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, driving in a run. Enger added two hits and two RBIs while Fenton chipped in with two hits and two RBIs.
Schleiper went the distance in circle for Blue Ridge, earning the win after pitching a complete seven innings. She allowed four runs - one earned - on four hits, while striking out eight and walking just one.
The Lady Knights are 8-9 overall and 2-4 in the Lincoln Prairie Conference. They will host Okaw Valley on Thursday.
