Jacob Engel racked up nine strikeouts across five no-hit innings as Normal Community defeated Peoria Richwoods 4-0 in Big 12 Conference high school from Normal on Monday. 

Normal Community got the scoring started in the bottom of the first inning. After Max Heineman singled, Gavin Michaels drove him in with a single to left field, giving the Ironmen an early 1-0 lead.

Naour singled home Burkhart, extending the lead to 2-0 in the third inning. 

Heineman delivered an RBI single, scoring Beaty and pushing the lead to 4-0 in the fifth. 

Heineman went 2-for-2 with an RBI while Naour finished 2-for-3 with an RBI. Gavin Michaels added an RBI single.

Normal Community is 15-4 overall and 10-1 in the Big 12 Conference. They travel to Peoria to take on Richwoods on Wednesday.
