Auburn blanked Maroa-Forsyth 8-0 in Sangamo Conference high school softball action on Thursday in Auburn.
Auburn's offense got going early, scoring a run in the first and then exploding for three runs in the third inning.
Maroa-Forsyth struggled to generate offense, managing only two hits in the contest. Danni Hovey and Taylor Crouch each recorded a hit for the Lady Trojans.
Thursday's shutout was the third straight for Maroa-Forsyth, and they lost their fifth in six tries.
The Lady Trojans fall to 9-8 overall and 3-4 in the Sangamo Conference. They are off until Monday when they host Argenta-Oreana.
