HS Softball: Blue Ridge Rolls Okaw Valley

Ellie Schlieper struck out 11 across five innings of shutout ball and Blue Ridge run-ruled Okaw Valley 11-0 in five innings in Lincoln Prairie Conference high school softball action on Thursday in Farmer City.

 

The Lady Knights scored five runs in the bottom of the third inning. The rally started on a triple by Addison Roos. Carsyn Stiger and Lilli Enger had singles, then a double by Fenton, and another single from Hayward drove in multiple runners and extended the Blue Ridge lead to 7-0. 

 

Roos went 2-for-4 and drove in a game-high four runs, including a key triple. Junior Ellie Hayward drove in four runs with two hits. Junior Karlee Fenton continued her strong hitting, tallying two doubles and scoring twice, while junior Enger blasted a solo home run.

 

Schleiper allowed just four hits and no walks in circle for the Lady Knights.

 

Blue Ridge goes to 9-9 overall and 3-4 in the Lincoln Prairie Conference. 

 

They are off until next Tuesday when they travel to Broadlands-Heritage.
