Lincoln fell short to Metamora 3-2 in non-conference high school baseball action Friday from Metamora. 

The Cardinals jumped out to a 3-0 lead before Lincoln staged a late rally in the top of the seventh inning, scoring two runs - highlighted by Brady Miller's solo home run.

Ashton Corley led the Railsplitters, going 2-for-4. Austin Lucas finished 1-for-3, Jadyn Gulley went 1-for-3, while Owen Comstock and Parker Graue had hits for Lincoln.

Lincoln drops to 6-14 overall. They will host New Berlin on Monday.
